I have not played Hodge Park Golf Club in Kansas City, MO for many years but I am now a big fan of the course. This course is definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the Kansas City area, particularly if you have not played it. All of the grasses are in wonderful condition. Regrettably, so are the areas of tall and thick natural grasses which come into play on nearly every hole. Not a lot of sand on the course, but the unique doglegs and course layout more than make up for it. The beautiful bentgrass greens are medium size with gradual breaks from almost every position. Do not let the low slope rating fool you. This course can play very difficult especially if you are not hitting straight.
