Crowley’s Ridge is a nice, 9-hole community club in Bloomfield, MO. Bloomfield is about 30 west of Sikeston. As the name implies the course is on a very hilly ridge just a few miles from the ultra-flat farm land about 3 miles to the south. Crowley’s Ridge is an unusual geological formation that rises 250 to 550 feet (170 m) above the delta plain of the Mississippi. The ridge starts around Cape Giraradeau and spans all of the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Who knew? So, the course is very hilly and you could imagine this course being one of the high priced Ozark resorts . . . if it had nine more holes and if they put a lot of money in the course for new grasses, clubhouse and cart paths. But, for what it is, it is an excellent course.
