Farmington, MO is blessed to have two nice quality golf courses, particularly for a city with a population of less than 20,000. St. Francois Country Club is a private club on the outskirts of the city and, the other course, Crown Pointe, is a public course. StFCC is relatively flat and is very playable because of the quality of grasses. The greens are small to medium size with minimal undulation and roll very true and very quick, running about a 10.5 on the Stimpmeter. The greens are great! Most of the greens are protected by at least one sand trap and water comes into play on a few holes. The course is fairly well manicured and many of the grasses are mowed once a day. All in all, St. Francois CC is nice 18 hole course and, if you have already played Crown Pointe, you should pull a few strings to play it if you are in town.
