Comments: I thought Top of the Rock was an actual golf course, considering they hosted a senior PGA tournament in 2015. Well it is not. It is an adult fantasy mini golf course and the green fees are $145. Plus you have to pay $10 just to enter the premises at the front gate. To make matters worse, the course has only 9 holes. This course is owned by Johnny Morris, the $4 billion founder of Bass Pro Shops. And, as with Buffalo Ridge, he spared no expense in designing and building this course. I just can’t imagine why. It really serves no useful purpose. I assume only golfers would play this course, because it is a difficult Par 3 course, but why would they pay the exorbitant rate if they can play a real course for less money. Their sister course, Buffalo Ridge, is 30% less and is a world class, Par 71, course. Even though TOR is surrealisticly (yeah, you’re right, that’s not a word) beautiful, Buffalo Ridge is actually prettier and much more realistically beautiful. Save your money and do not play Top of the Rock . . . unless the price is significantly reduced . . . to below $35. It is, though, worth paying the $10 to enter the compound just to look at the driving range. It will blow your mind. Look at a few of my pictures on Facebook:
